Brand Story

Bernadette de Lavernette offers a wide range of award-winning artisan jams, chocolate spreads, and organic honey from Madagascar. Our jam artisan, Brigitte Billardey, started making jams with her mother, Madame Bernadette de Lavernette, since she was 15. Born of French nobility, Madame B de L inherited all the secret recipes in her family. She taught Brigitte to use the best fresh produce and put a pinch of love in every jar! Deeply inspired by Bernadette, Brigitte named the company after her to thank her mentorship and love.
Brigitte has honed this traditional craftsmanship to create unique flavours by using Madagascar's tropical fruits and amazing herbs and spices. She innovates by using less sugar and more fruits to make the jams healthier and tastier! 
Today, we continue making our products follow Bernadette's motto: we use only the finest all-natural ingredients that are 
Non-GMO, sustainably grown and vine-ripe, handcraft them in small batches with traditional craftmanship to capture the most whole flavor nature offers.
Our jams are so good that they have won the "International Excellence Award" and "Prix Special" at Salon du Chocolat Paris. Several famous 3-star Michelin chefs also praise and carry our jams in their restaurants and villas.
